Hi there your big mistake is that you haven’t activated the GPS locator on your phone. Most of the phone has GPS activated by default. Here i am assuming the GPS is activated on your smartphone. Now If you have your GPS activated then there could be a solution that can help in locating the Lost Android Phone:
What is Plan B for Android
Its the best App available in Android Market to locate the lost Phones, which enable you over-the-air installation feature, If your phone is lost you can still install this app on your Phone from Google Market. The Idea is to push this app down to your mobile device by installing the app from the Android Market website. Afterwards, the app will automatically start running on your device and it will send its current location to your Gmail address. This sounds great.
Let suppose If for some reason this app doesn’t start automatically, you can borrow a friend’s phone and text the word “locate” to your phone number, It will start this app and then the location of the phone will be thrown to your Gmail address.
So i recommend you to try this App and see what happens then, Hopefully this will help you to locate your phone.

Hi Elaine, Plan-B is itself a name of the App. you can use this app to locate the location of your lost phone. Plan B is your last resort to find your missing phone.
Simply install this app in your phone and when you send the world “locate” to your number from any other phone, this app will send back the location of your phone.
You can download this amazing app from link below:
Plan B only works with 2.0 – 2.3 versions of Android
Hope this will help you,
